Everyone else is doing so I figure we should get in on the loop. So... here is Zach and Clarissa Sawyer and Family's Blog. I suppose our story is a good place to start so here goes.
March 27th, 2007 I had surgery on my wrist and in the process of coming off the drugs and anestesia decided to call Clarissa (whom had been introduced to me about a month prior by my friend in the parking lot of Albertson's while I was fixing my broken down motorcycle) and Invite her to my mothers birthday dinner at Red Lobster that evening as I thought she was cute and didn't want to be dateless in a dinner setting with all these other couples. She agree'ed apparently not knowing it was my moms birthday dinner until after I had already picked her up. I had fun (although somewhat possibly due to the perkiset), apparently she had fun (she kept hanging out with me :)) At the dinner I found out she was married but in the process of divorce (her husband Cody was in prison) and she had one 6 month old baby and one on the way! As much as that should have probably scared me away it didnt. We carried on being friends until I told her I had feelings for her. She then told me off saying I need to apologize for saying something so rude. Hah, once she realized I wasnt playing some sick joke she said thank you and not much more. Finally after hanging out non-stop for months on end I couldnt do it anymore starting about the end of August. She was married which meant I couldnt act on or even hardly acknowledge my feelings for her and it was too much. There were so many times where that "almost kiss" happened where your heart is pounding and you can feel the tension in the air and it was too hard. So until the end of september I saw her once for Taylie's first birthday party. Then I got a text I had been waiting for for along time "My divorce is officially final." The next night we hopped in my 4-runner and I drove her up to snow basin where we danced to a lifehouse cd in the parking lot and had our first kiss. One I will never forget. We started dating and it was awesome. By this point I was possibly more in love with her little girl Taylie than I was with her so that worked out nicely. Then on October 2nd She went to the hospital to have the second child. I showed up later on that day and waited around for the rest of the day. I was the only person there when Cambrie was born and heard her first cries from the hallway. time went on and we were basically attached at the hip when I wasnt at checker or my street sweeping job. The last day of November 2007 I asked her to be my girlfriend at the Forgotten Carols Play by Michael Mclean. February 2008 with a weeks notice we decided it was time to get married so we did. We almost eloped but were convinced to do otherwise mostly by the completely unexpected support of my dad. Her dad was also very positive and supportful of the whole thing. We got married in my dad's great room and had birthday cake for our wedding cake hah, and jalepeno poppers for appetizers, but we wouldnt change a thing. In the end of August we found out clarissa was pregnant. (despite our precautions :)) It wasnt planned but we are super excited anyways. It is a boy, she is over half way now and he is very healthy expected on April 26th, 2009. We have a beautiful family and thats pretty much the jist of how it came to be. I know this is pretty long, but its kinda a long story :) Tonight we will have our first christmas eve as a family. Life is wonderful, absolutely positively wonderful.
You two have a CUTE story. I remember metting Clarissa for the first time. She was brave coming along to meet some of the family. ha ha.
